The role supports the execution of policies to ensure the safety of employees, stakeholders, and users of BIA and related facilities.

The position involves conducting inspections, audits, and providing insights on various work environments and activities under the guidance of the Head of Health and Safety.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Support the health and safety team in:
    1. Inspecting equipment and facilities, identifying potentially unsafe conditions, and providing recommendations for improvement.
    2. Performing investigations and root cause analysis for accidents and incidents within the terminal and office areas of BAC and its sister companies.
    3. Conducting regular audits of internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and maintaining overall safety of the work environment.
  2. Provide recommendations on processes and improvements to reduce risks and injuries to staff, stakeholders, and users of BIA.
  3. Develop an understanding of workplace processes and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement and elimination of unsafe conditions.
  4. Foster a positive safety culture across BAC and its subsidiaries and sister companies.
  5. Stay informed about relevant laws and legislation to ensure BIA adheres to industry standards and practices within Bahrain and with external accrediting bodies.
  6. Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

The purpose of this role is to provide expert opinion on various health and safety matters related to the work environment within BAC's premises and BIA, ensuring safety for all staff and passengers.
