Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bahrain for a Technical Sales Representative. The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as sales and customer service, technical training, and communication. They will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and end-users to promote company products and services and acquire new business. The Technical Sales Representative is also responsible for identifying and establishing new accounts and maintaining existing relationships with customers.
- Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products.
- Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.
- Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products.
- Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met.
- Reporting to management about sales made.
- Updating records of customer communications and contact information.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree /diploma in civil engineering / architectural engineering or any relevant field.
- AutoCAD, quantity surveying, materials calculations and technical drawings understandings are mandatory.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. is mandatory.
- Understanding of Construction materials like Cement, concrete, flooring and hardscaping.
- A minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing experience.
- Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company products work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to identify and follow up on leads.
- Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
- A valid driver's license and locally transferable visa.

Job Purpose
To support the sales and business development of Analyzer Products (Liquid/Gas analyzers and related systems) within the assigned territory, contributing to Yokogawa's growth in the process analytical instrumentation segment.

- Review and analyze tenders and RFQs specifically related to Analyzer Products (e.g., Gas Chromatographs, TOC, pH, Conductivity, FTIR, and other Liquid/Gas analyzers).
- Engage with third-party analyzer vendors and sub-suppliers to obtain the most competitive technical and commercial quotations.
- Coordinate with Yokogawa headquarters (YHQ) and global analyzer factories to prepare and submit optimized technical and commercial proposals to clients.
- Conduct customer visits across all YMA territories to provide front-end technical and commercial support for Analyzer product sales.
- Support seamless handover of customer orders to the sourcing and project execution teams.
- Collaborate with YMA affiliates to help meet or exceed annual order intake (OI) targets for Analyzer Products.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of analytical technologies and their application across key industries (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemicals, water treatment, and power).
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering.
- 9 to 12 years of experience in the Analyzer Products domain, including technical sales, applications, and project handling of process analyzers (Liquid/Gas)
Competencies & Skills
- In-depth understanding of analyzer technologies and their integration in process control systems.
- Strong technical proposal and system design analysis skills.
- Experience with Sales CRM platforms; excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership qualities with proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, especially related to analyzer systems and application software
