Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Formulate medium- and long-term strategy to develop software solution business for RE/ Green Hydrogen customers in line with Yokogawa available solutions and competence.
  • Suggest new application developments for RE/ Green Hydrogen
  • Demonstrate domain expertise by identifying and aligning with supporting partners to bridge product and solution gaps to make comprehensive solution.
  • Develop KPI dashboard for potential RE/ Green Hydrogen customers (different applications)

SME’s Performance would be measured by following matrices

  • Customer reach / penetration
  • New Account development
  • New solution development for existing RE accounts
  • Business ideas which result in value creation for RE customers
  • Order intake and profitability of the orders

Qualification And Experience

Education level

  • Undergraduate/ Postgraduate engineering degree in related discipline (Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation). Process Data Analytics/ Business Management related additional qualification(s) would be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10-15 years post qualification industrial experience. This shall be cover at least 10 years in Power industry, out of which of least 5 years shall be in Renewable Energy / Power Grid control (Solar PV, CSP, Wind, WTE, BESS, EMS for RE/ Hybrid grid, Smart Grid control/ Microgrid/ DERMS ). Experience should be of one or more of the below in nature:
  • Operation /Maintenance/ Commissioning of RE/ Hybrid plants
  • EPC
  • Consultant/ Designer
  • OEM
  • RE Asset Health Monitoring/ Analytics
  • DSO of RE assets

Competencies & Skills

  • Good understanding of business drivers of RE industry
  • Should be able to formulate KPI for each level of stake holders.

Qualification And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Eng./Comp Science or minimum 10 -15 years Oil & Gas industry experience in operations & /or in projects. In addition, minimum 5-7 years’ experience in business development, pre-sales, consultant, or engineering discipline
  • Several years of experience in digital transformation or related fields, such as IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or management consulting
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas Process, Optimization & latest digital technologies in this field (like data analysis, Robotics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning etc.
  • Strong understanding of energy usage, greenhouse gas emissions, and climate change impacts
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical Stakeholders
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective digital transformation strategies
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth

  2. Demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting the best suit to their needs.
  3. Promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers (dealers) using a variety of approaches such as relationship-based approach.
  4. Monitor the progress towards the achievement of short- and long-term sales and business objectives and take any necessary action to ensure that these are achieved.
  5. Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
  6. Identify advantages and compare Zain’s products/services.
  7. Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
  8. Liaise between the customers and internal teams.
  9. Provide the management with updates and written reports on all customers feedback such as needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.
  10. Strategic planning and building new or alternative (revenue, sales) channels.
  11. Building a strong relationship targeting different nationalities/communities in Bahrain.
  12. Perform any other related tasks as assigned or needed.

About the Role

The Business Performance Expert is responsible for optimizing financial and commercial performance by leading revenue and COGS forecasting, budgeting, and detailed margin analysis, ensuring profitability across business lines. This role oversees the review, approval, and post-launch evaluation of commercial business cases, ensuring strategic alignment and financial viability. Additionally, it involves analyzing and verifying commission structures, as well as monitoring customer receivables to enhance collection efficiency and mitigate financial risks. Through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration, the Business Performance Expert supports sustainable growth and drives strategic decision-making.

What We Need From You
  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or a related field. CFA, CMA, or other relevant professional certifications are preferred. Advanced financial training in areas such as revenue forecasting, COGS analysis, and commercial business case evaluations is an advantage.
  2. Experience: 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or business performance management, with a focus on commercial operations in the telecom industry.
  3. Skills: Proven expertise in revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and budgeting specific to telecom operations. Strong track record in reviewing and approving commercial business cases, including post-launch performance analysis in a telecom environment. Demonstrated expertise in commission analysis and verification as well as customer receivables monitoring in telecom settings. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis, along with advanced skills in Excel, business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and financial modeling to inform strategic decision-making. Previous experience in a cross-functional, collaborative environment, working closely with finance, commercial, and operational teams to drive business performance.
Job Responsibilities
  1. Revenue & COGS Management: Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for revenue and COGS. Conduct detailed margin analysis by business line to ensure profitability and cost efficiency. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize financial performance.
  2. Commercial Business Case Evaluation: Review and approve commercial business cases, ensuring financial viability and strategic alignment. Perform post-launch analysis to assess actual performance against projections and recommend improvements. Provide financial insights to support pricing, product launches, and investment decisions.
  3. Commission Analysis & Verification: Analyze and verify commission structures to ensure accuracy, fairness, and alignment with business objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities and assess the financial impact of commission changes. Work with commercial teams to enhance commission models and incentive structures. Track and analyze customer receivables, ensuring timely collections and minimizing financial risks. Identify trends in overdue accounts and collaborate with finance and commercial teams to improve collection strategies. Provide insights on credit exposure, payment behaviors, and receivables efficiency.
  4. Financial & Performance Reporting: Develop reports and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into key financial and commercial metrics. Present findings to senior management with clear, actionable recommendations. Support automation and process improvements for more efficient financial analysis and reporting.
