Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Sales Manager located in Manama. The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of sales, rentals, and service for HDPE butt-fusion and electrofusion equipment across Bahrain and the GCC. Day-to-day tasks include hunting and qualifying new business opportunities within sectors like water, sewer, gas, irrigation, and telecom; preparing technical-commercial proposals, tenders, and BOQs; conducting product demonstrations and client training sessions; and managing the rental fleet. The role also involves providing on-site commissioning, technical support, and fusion quality assurance, while building long-term relationships with contractors, consultants, and utilities.
Qualifications
- Technical Sales and Sales Skills: Proven ability to drive B2B or project sales with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years of direct experience with HDPE butt-fusion or electrofusion equipment.
- Technical Support Skills: Hands-on knowledge of the complete butt-fusion procedure (facing, heating, fusion pressure, cooling, and maintaining fusion logs).
- Account Management and Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, consultants, and utilities.
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in preparing tenders, technical-commercial proposals, and BOQs.
- Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: Aptitude for providing on-site technical support and quality assurance.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a degree in Sales/Business with a strong technical background.
- Willingness to relocate to Bahrain is mandatory.
