The Lead Opera Stage Director will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing the artistic vision for multiple opera productions throughout the season. This includes developing innovative staging, guiding the dramatic interpretation of singers and chorus, and collaborating closely with designers (set, costume, lighting, sound) to create a cohesive and powerful artistic statement. You will lead rehearsals, working with the musical director and orchestra to ensure a seamless integration of musical and dramatic elements.

Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as an Opera Stage Director with a portfolio of successful productions.
- Deep knowledge of operatic repertoire spanning various periods and styles.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute compelling visual and dramatic interpretations.
- Experience in leading and motivating large ensembles of singers, actors, and technical staff.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with conductors, designers, and artistic administrators.
- Excellent understanding of theatre production processes and stagecraft.
- A Master's degree in Theatre Directing, Opera Directing, or a related performing arts field is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages relevant to opera repertoire is a plus.
