Position Summary
The Head of Supply Chain oversees procurement, inventory, and vendor management for all clinical and non-clinical supplies. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials, cost control, and regulatory compliance across the hospital chain in the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead vendor consolidation and import substitution initiatives for the network for both consumables and pharmacy items across the network
• Lead procurement planning (Capex & Opex) in coordination with finance, pharmacy, and clinical teams.
• Ensure timely availability of drugs, consumables, devices, and hospital infrastructure supplies.
• Track and analyze consumption trends; set reorder levels and inventory benchmarks.
• Supervise warehouse operations, inbound/outbound logistics, and cold chain requirements.
• Monitor and optimize Pharmacy P&L, including high-margin and fast-moving items.
• Negotiate and finalize vendor contracts, ensure SLAs, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ensure regulatory and documentation compliance for all purchases, imports, and disposals.
• Conduct regular ABC/FSN analyses and reduce inventory holding cost without stock outs.
• Implement SOPs for stores, audits, GRNs, expiry checks, and batch traceability.
• Coordinate procurement for international brands and local suppliers ensuring quality and certification standards.
• Oversee biomedical equipment procurement, AMC tracking, calibration, and utilization efficiency.
• Track KPIs through MIS reports: inventory turnover, purchase cycle time, vendor fill rate.
Qualifications & Experience
Master's in Healthcare / Supply Chain / Business Management.
Minimum 10-15 years in materials and procurement, with at least 3–4 years in a hospital environment. GCC healthcare experience is mandatory.
