• Running all operation tasks on all Banking applications including Development, Test, UAT/SIT & Production environments.
• To the maximum extent automate the above operations and other tasks under Control-M
• Document all tasks configured under Control-M with contingency plan of running the above Jobs manually in case Control-M is not available.
• Utilize the full functionality available under Control-M to innovate and make better all the tasks running in GPH.
• Configure Reports on Control-M to report on all operations being performed under Control-M to higher management
• Enhance the reports available in Control-M or build Custom reports by using 3rd party tools like Crystal Report
• Integrate Control-M with Backup software to make backups part of End of Day Workflow
• Be part of operations team for smooth running of operations in GPH

• 2-5 years of proven IT Operations related experiences with Unix/Linux & Windows System Administration experience, 2+ years programming experience with proficiency in Unix Shell (Korn, C, Bash) scripting
• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Solid experience working as a Control-M Scheduler in a distributed environment of Windows/Linux/Solaris/AIX
• Knowledge of crystal report and other tools to generate customized report on end of day and other banking operations from Control-M
• Experience working in financial services, banking or other fast paced 24/7 regulated financial organizations
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong documentation and automation skills
• Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis and permanent problem resolution skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

We are expanding our Foundations team to focus our efforts on this essential function and are looking for people passionate about lower level technologies from the hardware, to the firmware, and Linux itself, involved in an operating system startup. Applicants should be comfortable working with Secure Boot, Measured Boot, Full Disk Encryption and other technologies used during modern operating systems boot process.

This is highly technical work, and we are looking for a colleague with a very careful and systematic approach to their software. This work is critical to system security and reliability.

The Ubuntu Foundations Team delivers and maintains the core of the Ubuntu system, the base for the entire Ubuntu family of products and services. Ubuntu strives to deliver the latest and best free software components, in an easy to use and highly reliable form. We build on the technical excellence of Debian and bring additional focus and shape to the solutions we offer industry.

As a Linux System Engineer, you will work on the architecture, design and development of core components involved in the boot and startup of the Ubuntu Distribution, often interacting with the upstream community for projects like Grub, shim and u-boot. You will be discussing design with other team members and mentor less senior engineers and participate in code reviews and design reviews. You will also be working with other teams to ensure architecture decisions improve the overall performance and experience of Ubuntu.

The mission of the LXD team is to build a next-generation private cloud infrastructure, combining KVM, Ceph, and SDN technologies to create a data center scale cloud that 'just works' and provides a mission-critical cloud for edge and core enterprise deployments. We are hiring a Golang software engineer to work on the low level Go codebase sitting between our REST API and the low level C libraries used to manage containers and virtual machines. We are looking for system-level developers with experience in design and data management/modeling.

LXD components span the entire software stack from low-level kernel features to the upper level management API/CLI. Our most effective engineers are fluent in all these layers, and able to anticipate the consequences of design and engineering choices elsewhere in a complex distributed system.

Location : This is a remote position available in EMEA and the Americas.

What you will focus on

• Design, implement and document system level Go code
• Model data, design database schema and implement data storage in a dqlite (SQL) database
• Maintain code quality through static analysis, unit and system tests
• Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
• Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
• Work from home with global travel 2 to 4 weeks/year for internal and external events
  
  

• You have experience programming in Go and C
• You are knowledgeable in networking and storage technologies
• You have experience with two or more of: cloud computing, virtualisation, containers, distributed systems, open source community

We are hiring a System Software Engineer for Python interpreter, tooling, and ecosystem

We are building a new team to focus on the Python programming language and its ecosystem on Ubuntu. They will deliver the best possible Python runtime, developer experience and supporting tooling in Ubuntu. The Ubuntu Foundations Team delivers the core Ubuntu system, the base for the entire Ubuntu family of products and services. Part of the Ubuntu Foundations team, you will work on some of the most critical toolchains involved in the making of Ubuntu but also pillars of the modern software ecosystem. You will leverage your experience and passion in Python to make Ubuntu the best platform to develop, distribute and consume software built with Python. Applicants will be passionate about the future of Python, of Ubuntu, mindful of the dynamics of the open-source ecosystem, and equally aware of the needs of large but innovative organizations. Applicants will drive best in class integration in Ubuntu from desktop to cloud in a secure, reliable, performing, efficient and future-proof fashion.

You will be discussing design with other team members and mentor less senior engineers and participate in code reviews and design reviews. You will also be working with other teams to ensure architecture decisions improve the overall performance and experience of Ubuntu. Your role as part of the Ubuntu Foundations team will have an impact on every aspect of Ubuntu from Desktop, Server, Ubuntu Core and also cloud images.

Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region

The role entails

• You have relevant Python experience, ideally in the world of cloud-native software and Linux
• You have experience or are interested in learning how to package software for Debian and Ubuntu
• You are a long-time Linux user
• Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path
• You love technology and working with brilliant people
• You are passionate, curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
