Your primary responsibility will be the administration, optimization, and security of our core cloud infrastructure, which is built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. You will serve as our in-house expert for all cloud services, managing everything from Azure virtual servers and networking to our M365 user applications.
While your expertise is in the cloud, this is a hands-on, standalone role. You will also be responsible for managing all physical, on-premise IT, including the corporate network (switches, firewalls), user workstations, and other office hardware.
This position is perfect for a technical professional who is passionate about cloud technology but also enjoys the variety and hands-on challenges of managing the complete IT landscape for a dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
I. Cloud Infrastructure & Service Management (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the primary technical administrator for the company's cloud-native infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Administer, secure, and optimize all Azure-based infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking (VNETs, NSGs).
- Proactively monitor cloud service health, performance, and cost, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
- Manage user identities and access control (IAM) using Azure Active Directory and ensuring synchronization with any on-premise AD.

- Architect, maintain, and troubleshoot the entire corporate network, including the CORE-LAN, WAN, DMZ, and core/access switches.
- Manage all external connectivity, including MPLS, site-to-site VPNs, and ISP management.
- Maintain and support all essential on-premise IT hardware, including physical network infrastructure (switches, firewalls), virtualization hosts (Hyper-V), and NAS devices.
- Implement and manage comprehensive data backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity plans, including DR site maintenance.
III. Cybersecurity Monitoring & Compliance
- Monitor pre-configured security dashboards (SIEM, firewall, WAF) for critical alerts and report any significant incidents to management and external security partners.
- Oversee basic security hygiene, ensuring endpoint protection (antivirus) is operational on all devices and that critical security patches are applied in a timely manner.
- Assist in enforcing established IT security policies and access control protocols.
- Review vulnerability and security reports provided by external partners and assist in tracking the remediation of any identified issues.
- Ensure all IT systems and documentation are maintained in compliance with local Bahraini regulations and industry best practices.
IV. End-User Support & IT Administration
- Provide expert-level "hands-on" technical support to all employees for hardware (laptops, printers), software (M365), and connectivity.
- Manage all physical IT tasks, including new employee workstation setup, formatting, and office network wiring.
- Administer the physical access control and CCTV systems (e.g., Dahua), ensuring operational integrity and providing monthly attendance reports to HR.
- Manage the full IT procurement and asset management lifecycle for all hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain all technical documentation (network diagrams, SOPs) and generate regular reports on system health, security alerts, and project status.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a System Administrator, Cloud Administrator, or similar IT infrastructure role.
- Deep, proven expertise in administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Azure AD, VNETs, NSGs, and Azure Virtual Machines.
- Strong proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Demonstrated experience with hybrid identity management (Azure AD Connect, on-premise Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.

- Experience with Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices (e.g., QNAP).
- Experience with VoIP phone systems (e.g., Avaya, 3CX).
- An IT certification such as an Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), CompTIA Security+, or other relevant cloud/security certifications.
- A strong aptitude and willingness to learn and manage legacy on-premise systems.
