We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience in designing solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in solar project design, including the preparation of technical drawings and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design residential, commercial, or industrial solar PV systems in compliance with industry standards and client requirements
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) for solar projects
- Conduct system simulations and performance analysis using PVsyst
- Create and review AutoCAD and SketchUp designs for solar panel layouts and electrical schematics
- Coordinate with project engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Support technical documentation, permitting, and proposal development
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in solar PV design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and SketchUp
- Understanding of electrical systems and grid-tied solar installations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of local and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) is a plus
- Experience with other solar design tools or 3D modeling software is advantageous
