Our client, a community pharmacy, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team in Muharraq, Muharraq, BH . You will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly.

- Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
- Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, potential interactions, and contraindications.
- Counsel patients on how to take their medications, potential side effects, and storage.
- Verify prescription information and fill prescriptions accurately.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and order medications and supplies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and profiles.
- Ensure compliance with all local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Communicate with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Handle insurance billing and resolve payment issues.
- Provide basic health screenings (e.g., blood pressure checks) if applicable.
- Recommend over-the-counter (OTC) medications and health products.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and secure.
- Stay updated on new medications and pharmaceutical developments.
- Participate in continuing education programs.
- Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues.
- Ensure proper storage of medications, including refrigerated items.
- Manage controlled substances inventory and records.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
- Prepare compounded medications if required.
- Provide immunization services if certified.
- Counsel patients on medication therapy management (MTM).
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Maintain a professional and ethical approach to patient care.
- Troubleshoot pharmacy system issues.
- Assist in the development of patient education materials.
- Monitor drug safety alerts and recalls.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
- Valid Pharmacist license in Bahrain (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist is preferred, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and patient counseling.
- Ability to dispense medications accurately and safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy operations.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use pharmacy software systems.
- Understanding of insurance billing processes.
- Knowledge of local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Ability to manage and supervise staff.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Continuing education is often required.
- Immunization certification is a plus.
- Experience with compounding medications is a plus.
