• Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories
• Assists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of civil engineering equipment and materials
• Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards
• Maintains required documentation related to laboratory activities and experiments
• Manages equipment and materials inventories specific to civil engineering labs
• Maintains laboratory supplies – laboratory equipment, including testing equipment, concrete materials, and soil
• Determines equipment and material requirements, prepares purchase specifications, and coordinates acquisitions
• Applies principles of materials science, environmental engineering, and structural analysis relevant to civil engineering
• Covers subject matter related to civil engineering courses taught at this college
• Operational characteristics of apparatus, equipment and materials used in civil engineering laboratories
• Manages all stock rooms relevant to civil engineering materials and tools
