The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales trends, customer performance, and channel effectiveness to provide actionable insights to the sales and commercial teams. This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, hands-on experience in F&B or FMCG distribution, and a passion for turning data into strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales data across products, categories and customers (with focus on HORECA segment).
• Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to drive revenue growth and improve channel performance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel, or other tools) for sales performance tracking.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop territory and account plans based on data insights.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as volume growth, margin, SKU penetration, and distribution efficiency.
• Support pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness analysis, and forecasting for the HORECA channel.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, product launches, or category reviews.
• Work closely with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to align business plans with sales performance.
• Segment and profile HORECA customers to enable targeted marketing and customized sales approaches.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by coordinating with internal data and IT teams.
• Develop Competitor Analysis, Price analysis.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in business, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in sales analytics, preferably in F&B, FMCG, or distribution industries.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• Solid understanding of SQL or similar tools for data extraction and transformation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

You will have the opportunity to support Commander Naval Surface Group Central (CNSG-C). CNSG-C is the executive agent for the readiness (man, train, and equip) of 4 Mine Countermeasure (MCM), and LCS ships forward deployed in Bahrain.

For a best fit for this position, your background would have experience with experience working with Damage Control, working in the engine room, or having been an assessor at an ATG in warfare areas of MOB -D (Damage Control) or MOB-E (Engineering).

• Prior project management/stakeholder management is desired

• Coordinate and interact with the finance business partner to support daily finance data analysis, hierarchical mappings, and understanding (root cause analysis) of identified data issues.
• Ensure accurate and reconciled reporting (e.g., balance-sheet exposure, profit and loss) through a comprehensive understanding of finance, risk, and data warehousing.
• Master the intersection of finance, data analysis, and data engineering.
• Review data quality and reconciliations for finance reports and maintain reporting logic/programs.
• Support the finance team in ad-hoc requests, organize data for financial/regulatory reports, perform data mapping, and conduct UAT.
• Ensure the consistency of the bank's data architecture, data flows, and business logic in accordance with Data Management guidelines, development standards, and data architecture by working closely with Finance and Data Engineering teams to identify issues and develop sustainable data-driven solutions.
• Write and document complex SQL queries, procedures, and functions, creating algorithms that automate important financial interactions and data controls.
• Handle SAS ETL jobs, data transformation, validation, analysis, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in SAS tools including SAS Management Console, SAS DI, SAS Enterprise Guide, Base SAS, SAS Web Report Studio, SAS Delivery Portal, SAS OLAP Cube Studio, SAS Information Maps, SAS BI, SAS Stored Process, SAS Datasets & Library.
