  • Build and maintain robust ML models, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and interpretability.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports and presentations.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, particularly as applied to the mining industry.
  • Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in data analysis and model development.

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data science, with a significant focus on machine learning model development and deployment.
  • Proven experience in applying ML techniques to industrial or operational data.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas).
  • Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with big data platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data science workloads is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
  • Familiarity with the mining industry and its data challenges is a strong plus.
