We launched our first Calo Cafe unit about two years ago. We believe there’s a large market opportunity for this concept, and we aim to open over 100 stores in the coming years, becoming pioneers in this category. This role is for someone who is visionary, whose designs evoke emotion, create connection, and breathe life, feeling, and memory into every space.

We are looking for a creative Interior Designer to join our Retail Team. You will be responsible for designing and elevating our in-store experience across the region by creating functional, on-brand spaces that reflect our mission of making healthy easy. From flagships to seasonal pop-ups, you’ll help bring our spaces to life with consistency, creativity, and a strong focus on the customer journey. You will be tasked with designing and creating a concept for the cafe.

• Design and develop interior concepts for all new retail locations and special popups
• Reflect the brand identity into physical space through layout, material selection, lighting and seating arrangements
• Create detailed floor plans, mood boards, 3D renders, and technical drawings
• Work closely with the retail team and contractors
• Oversee the execution of design projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and brand consistency
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
• Prepare presentations for internal approvals and stakeholder alignment
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and sourcing of materials and furnishings

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in interior design or a relevant field
• 5-8 years of experience in retail interior design

• Expertise in using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit or other 3D software
• Exceptional understanding of design concepts, color theory, and typography
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic
• Project management experience, including the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• Well-organized, with a great eye for detail, creativity, and a desire to push the boundaries in design
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, including the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel within the GCC as the role requires on-ground presence across multiple markets

• Lead the design process from concept development through to project completion.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, space plans, and 3D visualizations.
• Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials, ensuring aesthetic harmony and functional suitability.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for tender and construction.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality control.
• Stay abreast of the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies.
• Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders, articulating design rationale.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering their professional development.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in interior design, with a focus on (Specific Type of Design, e.g., residential, commercial, hospitality).
• Proven portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality interior design projects.
• Proficiency in interior design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) selection and sourcing.
• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods.
• Exceptional aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with sustainable design principles is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, managing both in-office and remote tasks.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in interior design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Extensive knowledge of furniture, materials, finishes, and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and space planning principles.
• Excellent aesthetic judgment, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience in leading design teams and managing project budgets.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus.
