Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Production Departments are performing efficiently and effectively as per the Company Corporate plan. Assess the performance of subordinates.
- Ensure that staff are adequately trained for all technical aspects required to meet job demands.
- Responsible for recommendation and adaptation of the production facilities in line with the market development.
- Responsible for preparation of the production budget for the production and works administration.
- Responsible for production and quality of goods and reliability of the delivery dates of production manufactured within the Company. Ensure that optimum use is made of consumables and materials. Make recommendation for investments in new products and for improvements in existing processes.
- Participate in recruitment, and be responsible for maintaining good industrial relations in the plant.
- Responsible for organization and implementation of adequate health and safety regulations in conjunction with Safety Officer through the Safety Committee.
- Train, guide and direct all production employees to achieve high performance standards.
- Responsible for appropriate Packing and Despatch of goods in the most suitable and economical manner.
- Carry out such other tasks and responsibilities which may deem to be necessary whenever required or requested by the company.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a managerial position within a manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of technical know-how and principles of extrusion, surface treatment, and other related processes.
- Experience in areas including production, distribution, planning, purchasing, quality, engineering, compliance, and capital management.
- Knowledge of ISO procedures and policies will be an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Proficiency in financial matters to prepare budgets/projections.
