Position Summary

Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment. Conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant, monitor and control property temperature, analyze energy and utilities usage, calibrate all controls and gauges, assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems and piping, and perform routine pool and spa maintenance.

Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests, respond to their needs, communicate professionally, and develop positive relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with experience in both residential and commercial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, electrical circuits, refrigeration cycles, and control systems.

Our client, a leading facilities management company specializing in integrated building services, is seeking a skilled and certified HVAC Technician to join their maintenance team in Jidhafs, Capital, BH . This is a crucial hands-on role responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in various commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to ensuring optimal climate control and indoor air quality for our clients. You will be vital in maintaining comfort and operational efficiency across a diverse portfolio of buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair various types of HVAC systems, including split units, ducted systems, chillers, and VRF systems, according to specifications and building codes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend lifespan, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC units, identifying root causes of malfunctions.
  • Execute repairs on compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and other HVAC components.
  • Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and energy efficiency after installation or repair.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair work.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and hours worked.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and industry regulations (e.g., ASHRAE standards, local safety codes).
  • Educate clients on proper operation and maintenance of their HVAC systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with other maintenance staff, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls and breakdowns.
  • Calibrate thermostats and ensure proper system performance.
  • Manage and maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and tools.

Qualifications:
  • Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., manifold gauges, multimeters, vacuum pumps).
  • Valid HVAC technician license or certification (e.g., EPA Universal, equivalent local certifications).
