Our client, a major player in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their operations in **Nuwaidrat, Southern, BH**. This role is critical for optimizing and ensuring the safety and efficiency of upstream, midstream, or downstream processes. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of complex chemical and physical processes within the sector. You will leverage your technical expertise to enhance production, reduce operational costs, and ensure compliance with stringent industry standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize process equipment and systems for oil and gas operations.
  • Conduct process simulations and modeling to identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure process safety by implementing HAZOP studies and risk assessments.
  • Monitor plant performance, efficiency, and energy consumption.
  • Prepare technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including operations, maintenance, and safety personnel.
  • Manage small projects or phases of larger projects related to process upgrades or modifications.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and best practices in Oil & Gas process engineering.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required. A Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas sector. Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus). Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer. Familiarity with safety standards and procedures (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA) in the O&G industry. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with project management principles is a plus. The ability to work on-site in **Nuwaidrat, Southern, BH** and potentially offshore or in field locations as required is essential.
