Main ObjectivesTo carry out tasks as designated by the Aircraft Lic Maintenance Technician or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to an acceptable standard of workmanship, and in accordance with aircraft approved documents.
To support Gulf Air operation at any network station as required in case of AOG recovery or as necessary.
- Work with, and under the direction of the designated A/C Engineers/Lic Technicians to carry out routine tasks and non-routine tasks.
- Replace components on Company or other operators aircraft and engines as required.
- Strictly adhere to company staff rules and regulations.
- Strictly adhere to company safety rules and regulations and to wear proper uniform and safety shoes while on duty.
- Adhere and comply with aircraft approved maintenance documents instructions when performing any routine tasks and non-routine tasks and acquaint self with all the safety-related precautions to avoid personal injuries or damages to aircraft structures and systems.
- Make sure that all equipment and tools used for aircraft maintenance are in serviceable and safe condition. Report any faulty equipment or tool to Engineer or Duty Manager; unserviceable tool/equipment must be isolated and tagged.
- Service equipment and aircraft special tools as deemed necessary to maintain them in a serviceable, safe and clean condition.
- As part of maintenance practice, make sure that all tools used to perform any routine and non-routine task are registered, to ensure they are removed on task completion.
- On completion of routine tasks and non-routine tasks, make sure that work area is tidy and free from any loose articles.
- Assist in positioning and clearing equipment to carry maintenance tasks on aircraft.
- Make sure that all tools and equipment used are returned to proper location.
- Perform the headset duties during engine ground runs and aircraft towing in accordance with company TIM procedures.
- Adhere to Airside Safety Rules and Regulations in regard to driving and work area cleanliness.
- Purchase an approved tool kit containing appropriate tools to perform duties on the company and third-party fleets.
- Perform the required duties in accordance with AME and Duty Manager instructions and aircraft approved documentation procedures.
- Maintain a high level of self-discipline and respect for superiors' instructions.
- Become familiar with Gulf Air Information System AMOS and its basic transactions related to this work scope.
It will be advantageous to have 3 to 5 years working as an A/C technician and/or general experience in a similar field. An apprenticeship with a reputable Aircraft Maintenance Organization shall be an additional advantage.
QualificationsMust be able to write, read and understand English to be able to understand aircraft approved documentation procedures while performing routine and non-routine tasks on the company fleet during maintenance input.
It will be an advantage to pass Basic Aircraft License Modules or hold a valid EASA Basic Aircraft License or equivalent which is recognized by BCAA and company Technical Quality Assurance.

MAIN OBJECTIVESTo strategically plan, coordinate, and optimize all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across Gulf Air’s B787 and A32F fleet. The role ensures full airworthiness compliance and aircraft availability through detailed forecasting, technical analysis, work package preparation, resource planning, and cross-functional coordination using the AMOS system. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity, safety, and cost efficiency while ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and commercial demands.
In addition to routine and non-routine maintenance planning, the role supports the core functions of the Aircraft Technical Maintenance Planning department, ensuring all maintenance—internal or third-party—is executed to high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The role also involves supporting budget adherence, fostering cross-department collaboration, and maintaining fleet compliance with regulatory and manufacturer standards.
MAIN DUTIES- Maintenance Forecasting and Scheduling
- Develop and manage detailed short, medium, and long-term maintenance forecasts using the AMOS system, based on aircraft utilization and operational plans.
- Align scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with flight schedules and thresholds.
- Adjust maintenance plans dynamically to operational changes, ensuring compliance and minimal disruption.
- Work Package Development and Execution
- Prepare work packages for Line and Base Maintenance, including A-Checks, C-Checks, and heavy maintenance.
- Coordinate with MROs and internal teams for documentation, materials, manpower, and tooling.
- Ensure timely, budgeted, and quality-compliant completion of activities.
- Airworthiness and Compliance Oversight
- Plan and incorporate ADs, SBs, EOs, and modifications in coordination with Engineering and Production.
- Monitor compliance deadlines and report in AMOS for audits.
- Manage Modifications Control process for SBs, ADs, and warranty items.
- AMOS System Administration and Development
- Train team members on AMOS, ensuring data quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with IT to resolve issues, improve workflows, and implement system changes.
- Deferred Defect & MCC Coordination
- Track deferred defects, prioritize rectification, and prepare recovery work packages.
- HT Component, Landing Gear, and Engine Planning
- Monitor and control HT components, Landing Gear, LLPs.
- Coordinate engine replacements and storage activities based on data and availability.
- Base Maintenance Planning and Quality Alignment
- Plan and coordinate base maintenance with relevant teams.
- Manage deferments, variations, and quality standards.
- Line Maintenance & Short-Term Planning
- Supervise short-term planning for line tasks, optimize aircraft routing.
- Aircraft Induction, Phase-Out & Special Projects
- Lead planning for aircraft induction and phase-out, manage special projects.
- Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain documentation, improve workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Integration
- Coordinate with stores for parts and tools, ensure timely availability.
- Long-Term Storage & Parking Oversight
- Manage maintenance for stored aircraft, ensure preservation and compliance.
Education: Bachelor’s in engineering or relevant aircraft qualification.
Experience: Minimum 4 years in technical maintenance, proficient in AMOS, with knowledge of EASA/FAA requirements, MPD, AD/SB handling, and aircraft lifecycle management.

Minimum of 7 years experience in aviation maintenance and 3-5 years as fully qualified certifying engineer.
Holder of a valid AME license recogonisaised to BCAA and Gulf Air QA, endorsed with Type rating on two of company aircraft, must be Computer literate, Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.
Must have completed a recogonised aircraft engineers apprentiship / Formal training
