Job Description: We are seeking a proactive " Interior Design Draftsman " to join our dynamic team.

An Interior Design Detailing Draftsman plays a vital role in the interior design process by creating highly detailed technical drawings and plans that communicate design specifications to construction and fabrication teams. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles, as well as proficiency in drafting software and tools. The Interior Design Detailing Draftsman works closely with interior designers and architects to ensure that design concepts are executed accurately and in compliance with building codes and regulations.

1. TECHNICAL DRAWING AND DETAILING: Create detailed interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Develop drawings that accurately represent the design intent, ensuring proper dimensions, scale, and proportion.
2. MATERIALS AND FINISHES: Specify and detail materials, finishes, and construction techniques, including wall treatments, flooring, ceiling designs, and millwork. Ensure that all material specifications meet quality standards and adhere to project requirements.
3. CODE COMPLIANCE: Stay current with building codes and regulations to ensure that the design complies with safety and accessibility standards. Incorporate necessary code-compliant elements into the design drawings.
4. COLLABORATION: Work closely with interior designers, architects, and other project team members to translate design concepts into technical drawings. Collaborate with contractors, fabricators, and suppliers to clarify design details and resolve construction-related issues.
5. PROJECT DOCUMENTATION: Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including design revisions, specifications, and correspondence with team members and clients. Create and manage drawing sets for construction and permit submission.
6. 3D MODELING: Assist in the creation of 3D models to help visualize design concepts and identify potential issues or improvements.
7. QUALITY ASSURANCE: Review and check drawings for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that they align with the design intent and project goals.
8. COST EFFICIENCY: Work to optimize designs to be cost-effective without compromising quality and accuracy. Research and recommend cost-effective materials and construction methods.

1. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).

1. Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Design and develop aircraft cabin interiors, including seating, galleys, lavatories, and overhead bins.
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and renderings using CAD software.
• Select appropriate materials considering weight, durability, aesthetics, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FAR 25.853).
• Ensure designs meet all applicable aviation regulations and certification requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients throughout the design process.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and BOMs.
• Support manufacturing and assembly processes, and participate in First Article Inspections.
• Investigate and resolve design-related issues during development and production.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies in aircraft interior design.

• B.Sc. in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft interior design or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of aircraft interior systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of aviation regulations and certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA).
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design projects.
• Excellent visualization, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Leading the conceptualization and development of interior design concepts for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and hospitality spaces.
• Developing detailed space plans, layouts, and 3D visualizations.
• Selecting and specifying interior finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
• Preparing detailed design documentation, including mood boards, material samples, and presentations.
• Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and other consultants.
• Managing client relationships, understanding their needs, and presenting design solutions effectively.
• Overseeing the procurement and installation of FF&E, ensuring adherence to design intent and budget.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to oversee daily site activities for interior design projects. The candidate should be confident coordinating with designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of work according to project requirements.
