You will be a part of a small but important team in Bahrain and critical to the success of the Bahrain entity. Your primary responsibilities will include – Monitoring and managing all Treasury Finance related activities, ensuring compliance with Tax requirements along with managing overall Finance risks/controls and supporting projects. A flexible and creative approach will be required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all Treasury Finance related activities including managing the liquidity and funding requirements of the bank (LCR/NSFR) in addition to IRRBB requirements (EVE, NII sensitivity).
- Managing end to end Treasury related policies (E.g. – FTP/LP/structural hedging).
- Tax compliance and minimizing Tax liability. Liaising with the Tax regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Continuously review key risks and proactively institute controls in place to address the same.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance data accuracy, profitability insights, and financial governance.
- Support projects aligned to finance transformation, tax compliance, and financial frameworks.
- Take an active role in the annual Financial Resource Planning process with local and regional teams.
- Support the CFO to drive performance and maximize business growth.
- Deputize the CFO as and when needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Professionally qualified - Chartered Accountant/CFA preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in ALCM/Treasury and Finance and overall post qualification experience of 9 years.
- Proven leadership skills to provide oversight of and development of teams.
- Strong knowledge of HSBC Group and products preferred.
- Strong understanding of Finance as well as Business.
- Strong MI and analytical skills.
- High level of drive and motivation and ability to solve problems
- Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language.
