Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and data analysis.
- Perform detailed geotechnical analyses, including foundation design (shallow and deep), slope stability, settlement analysis, and seismic hazard assessment.
- Develop comprehensive geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and construction specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Oversee the work of junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Review and approve geotechnical designs and construction submittals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant geotechnical standards, codes, and best practices.
- Manage project schedules and budgets for geotechnical components.
- Assist in the development of proposals and business development activities.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and technologies in geotechnical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio (SLOPE/W, SEEP/W), PLAXIS, FLAC, or similar.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
- Experience with site investigation techniques and laboratory testing interpretation.
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead teams in a remote setting.
- Must have a dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet access.
