Under a five-year contract, the Command Security Manager will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope of the requirement includes professional services for MARCENT located aboard MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, which serves as a Component Command to U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). Specifically, the Command Security Manager will support the 5th MEB (also referred to as TF 51/5), which is located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 5th MEB conducts tactical level command and control of Marine Corps forces within CENTCOM’s AOR. 5th MEB also conducts planning in support of contingencies, exercises, and executes Naval Integration actions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct support to the Command Security Management Office
- Possess the ability to independently perform all security tasks
- Support the handling, marking, storage, safeguarding, and destruction of classified material/information
- Execute verification of security clearances, visitor requests, and assists security clearance procedures
- Follow the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) when performing the duties on this requirement
- Conduct reviews and assessments in order to allow government representatives to submit for investigations
- Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.

- Travel: Contractor personnel must support the projected travel in support of government requirements to MARCENT AOR and supporting locations, which includes but not limited to the following countries: Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, and Greece. The ideal candidate will be available for travel on less than 24 hours-notice to support personnel recovery and training for forward deployed forces. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to execute OCONUS travel throughout the Central Command (CENTCOM) AOR.

The Assistant Security Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Command Security Manager of the 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade. This position requires expert-level proficiency in personnel and information security management, providing direct support to Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARFORCENT), the Brigade’s Special Security Officer, and subordinate units across the Central Command Area of Operations.
You will ensure personnel are properly vetted and briefed for General Security access, manage clearance documentation, and maintain access lists up to the Top Secret level. Additionally, you’ll oversee the Lenel Physical Security System to ensure accurate tracking of access to classified areas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the Command Security Manager’s office, administering the Information and Personnel Security Program.
- Oversee general and physical security for MARFORCENT and the 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade infrastructure.
- Maintain and apply relevant directives, regulations, and guidelines for general, physical, and insider threat security.
- Ensure proper handling, transmission, safeguarding, and destruction of classified materials.
- Support the management of personnel, information, industrial, physical, and insider threat security programs.
- Verify security eligibility, manage visit access requests, and maintain accurate security profiles in systems such as DISS, NBIS, eApp, and SWFT.
- Safeguard both classified and controlled unclassified information, ensuring proper marking, storage, and destruction.
- Enforce physical security standards, including badge system maintenance and processing.
- Track and manage keys, combinations, and associated forms (SF700, SF701, SF702) for CDX-10, X-10, and CIPHER locks.
- Coordinate maintenance and replacement of security locks and containers.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
- 5+ years of relevant experience; a degree may offset a portion of this requirement.
- Completion of the Marine Corps Security Management Course.
- Working knowledge of:
- National Background Investigation System (NBIS).
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with CDX-10 and X-10 lock systems.
- Demonstrated ability to handle classified and controlled unclassified materials securely.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in at least two security disciplines: Personnel, Information, Industrial, or Physical Security.
- Advanced expertise in NBIS, DISS, and SWFT.
- Ability to train others in secure handling of classified and controlled unclassified materials.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in three or more security disciplines.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) via the SPeD program.
