**Leidos is actively hiring for a Assistant Security Manager to join our team in Bahrain.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is located in Bahrain. Assist the 5th MEB Command Security Manager in providing security management support with expert level proficiency in both personnel and information security.
Provide direct support to MARCENT and 5th MEB SSO, and subordinate units at other locations in the AOR per direction of the MARCENT SSO.
Assist the SSO in ensuring all personnel are eligible and properly briefed for special security access to include the research of records, processing of documents for clearance/access, and maintaining a comprehensive command special security access list.
Coordinate and maintain the automated physical access control system (APACS) for the SCIF/TSCIF. Assist the SSO in maintaining a proactive special security program with goals and objective to protect special security information.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise the operation of the special security office and administer the SCI security program to include SCI security oversight and physical security for other SCIFs under the organization’s security cognizance.
Maintain applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to adequately discharge SSO duties and responsibilities.
Properly account for, electronic transmittal, packaging, transport, and safeguarding of SCI.
Assist in the management of personnel, information, industrial, and physical security programs for 5th MEB. Including:
Assist with verification of security clearances, visitor requests and procedures surrounding security clearances for all personnel within 5th MEB including Military, Civilian, and contractors. Maintenance and processing of the various personnel security systems and programs, including: DISS, CATS, and eQIP maintenance and processing
Proper Storage and dissemination of both classified and controlled unclassified information, including: providing support in the handling, marking, storage, safeguarding, and destruction of classified and controlled unclassified material/information.
Proper enforcement of physical security standards and regulations, including: Badging system maintenance and processing
Prepare unclassified and classified reports and briefs as required.
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of eQIP maintenance and use.
Knowledge of DISS (Defense Information Security Systems) existence.
Can demonstrate the proper handling, marking, storage, safeguarding, and destruction of both classified and controlled unclassified material/information.
At least 2 years’ experience working in at least two of the following security specialty fields: Personnel, Information, Industrial, or Physical.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert knowledge of eQIP maintenance and use.
Knowledge of DISS maintenance and use.
Can teach proper handling, marking, storage, safeguarding, and destruction of both classified and controlled unclassified material/information.
At least 4 years’ experience working in three or more of the following security specialty fields: Personnel, Information, Industrial, or Physical.
**Pay Range**: Pay Range $66,300.00 - $02,000.00 - 137,700.00
