JOB PURPOSE

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing customer service on the shop floor, addressing customer needs promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels and achieve optimal sales outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers, offer assistance promptly, and serve them to ensure their needs are met in compliance with quality and customer service standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging in up-selling, cross-selling, suggesting alternatives, and promptly following up on customers' requests.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient receiving process for items/shipments, maintaining accurate stock keeping to prevent security risks and thefts. Conduct physical and electronic inventory as needed, promptly report broken alarms, incidents, and suspicious activities.
  • Arrange and replenish shop shelves continuously, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the shop floor and shelves at all times to maintain the brand's image and coordination standards.
  • Handle cash registers and customer transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
  • Specific for Fashion: Take precise measurements for necessary alterations, assigns prices based on the established price list (when applicable), and coordinate the required alterations promptly and accurately.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
  • The position is responsible to represent the brand by maximizing and contributing to the sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience.

  • Issue receipts / refunds / change to the customers correctly.
  • Process the payments by cash / credit cards / vouchers / automatic debits.
  • Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store without any negligence.
  • Must be flexible to work for varied shifts and overtime as per the business requirement.
  • Adhere to SOP & Loss Prevention Policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the sales figures to the outside party.

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service, assisting them with product selection and purchases.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all products, promotions, and store policies to effectively assist customers.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, tidiness, and visual merchandising standards, ensuring products are well-displayed and shelves are stocked.
  • Receive and process new merchandise, including unpacking, pricing, and displaying items.
  • Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to sales, security, and customer service.
  • Help with opening and closing procedures of the store as required.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Stay updated on fashion trends and product knowledge to offer relevant recommendations.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail sales or customer service.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a strong team player.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with specific retail POS systems.
  • Passion for fashion or the specific product category.
